DIGITAL
While the Star Tribune is beginning cross-training print designers for web design in 2025, I have experience with CMS-based story customization, as well as doing illustrations for web presentations and creating digital-only products like e-editions and podcast logos.
WEB STORYTELLING
The Star Tribune is in the early stages of cross-training print designers on digital and web tools for our new website, which we launched toward the end of 2024.
ILLUSTRATIONS
At the Star Tribune, we try to keep digital presentation in mind for each illustration we provide, including our regular Monday Know How series in the Business section.
SPORTS EXTRA
The Gannett Design Center launched Sports Extra in 2022, a digital-only late sports section added into all of Gannett’s subscribers’ e-Editions each morning, allowing us to provide our readers something they’ve not had access to in several years as print sections have shrunk and deadlines have moved earlier and earlier: A comprehensive sports section with all of the previous day’s news, scores and updates. It launched in February with a one-off section, Super Bowl Extra, which was an eight-page section following Super Bowl 56.
